Not Much to Report

I really have no clue how some families have endured waiting for a year or more after seeing their child's face for the first time to travel to China. For me it's only been two months and it feels like an eternity! Finally there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel since our USCIS case should be assigned an officer next week. So Chris and I will probably be taking the girls on a little road trip to Indy for state certification and then I plan on using a courier to get quicker service at the Chicago Consulate. With any luck we should be DTC no later than the end of April. Once we have LID the wait is estimated to be 4 - 5 months to be in China. That is if there are no unforeseen road blocks - and believe me they happen more often than they should! At this time we are waiting for the delivery of the new beds for the girl's room since they will all three be sharing. The toddler bed has been painted white to match the new furniture and I think it's going to look great! Having the room ready early will be nice so that we can include Abbie's room in her photo album so she'll be better prepared for her new home
