Birthday Wishes

Since we seem to have no hope of having Abbie before she turns 5 I e-mailed our agency to find out how we could acknowledge her birthday. I already am aware that many families use a service to have a cake delivered to their child in the orphanage but our agency discourages that. Due to the unfortunate fact that I am a rule follower that route will not be taken. The only thing we are allowed to do is either send a birthday letter or card. Well, we decided to print out a card and our son Jordan kindly wrote the Chinese characters inside. The card says Qian Lin Di, Happy Birthday, We love you! Mama & Baba. Simple, but we just felt it was important to let her know we will be thinking about her on her special day. Also I was told that we may ask for one more update before travel so as soon as we have our dates (please be this week) we can request it!
